Ayurveda promotes positive thinking. In this three part series, we’ll look at positive thinking, and how to incorporate it into your life on a daily basis.

Do you dream? I don’t mean while you are sleeping, I mean the kind of dreaming that carries you off on a cloud while you are wide awake.
Some call it dreaming, some day-dreaming, and even some call it planning. However you refer to it, you should do it, and often.
Dreaming big is part of what keeps us positive. It gives us something to work for and strive towards. Even the silliest dreams can give us hope and peace of mind.
Have you dreamt lately? We’ve all had a day dream or two, but done on a regular basis, this type of dreaming can be a real source of stress relief. The great part about it is that it can be done anywhere. (Okay, maybe AFTER you pull off the freeway. But you get the idea.)
What do you dream about? Now, keep in mind, I’m not talking about that recurring day dream you have about choking the co-worker in the cubicle next to you. I’m talking about dreams for the future. Anything from “what’s your dream job”, to “how would I spend a huge lottery win?”. We get so wrapped up in the negative aspects of life that we sometimes forget to dream in a positive way. Positive dreaming goes much further in relieving stress and balancing our spirit that negative dreaming does. So make sure your dreams stick to the lighter side of life.
What’s your focus? If dreaming is something you enjoy, put it to work for you! With movies like “The Secret” on the market today, the power of positive and focused thinking is really becoming more mainstream. If you have a goal you’ve been dreaming about, make sure you’re focusing on it intently. It may just happen!
All in all, dreaming has a wonderful impact on our way of thinking. Dream positive, and the rest of your thoughts can’t help but follow!
